Hello new friends & happy Monday! I am Christa, the writer behind Significance or Nothing. First, I want to thank Heather for asking me to grace her space while she’s away honeymooning. I am so excited to be here today!

I chose this photo because every time I stop by Heather's blog I think about how cold it must be in Minnesota, & in this photo I was really cold. It was a proper photo choice, right?

I am a southern transplant living in our nation's capital. My child has 4 legs & fur. I love cupcakes, sunshine & making to-do lists. I actually just wrote a little about me post last week. Pop over sometime to learn more about what makes me tick.

It just so happens that Heather asked me to guest post a few days after my one-year blogging anniversary. While my little space on the www has come a long way since last February, I too have evolved.

I honestly cannot tell you why I began blogging. I think I got bored late one night & just decided that it might be fun. I had dabbled in blogging before, but never really put very much effort into it. I was clueless about how big the blogosphere truly was. I had no idea how many wonderful people I would come in contact with, how many connections I would make or how much I would learn.

There are so many things I love about blogging & bloggers. Almost too many to name, but my absolute favorite is the way we connect. We connect through sharing personal stories, happy moments, trials, & tribulations. We document our lives—the good & the bad. We connect to help, to comfort, & to inspire one another. And the funny thing is, for the most part, we have never even met one another & may even live on complete oppose sides of the world.

It's so exciting to know that through blogging I can connect with people who I would have never otherwise known. Like today, I am taking over the space of a girl from Minnesota who I have never met in person, while she's off hopefully having the time of her life cruising the Caribbean!

Blogging is so much more than sharing photos, crafts & recipes—we connect to share the love around us & the stories that make us who we are. Through connections, we grow not only as bloggers, but also as individuals.
